The incident comes nine years after he assaulted ex Rihanna and also follows a Snapchat ad involving himself and Rihanna, which she claims "made a joke" of domestic violence.
Snapchat were forced to apologise, claiming the ad – which asked social networkers if they would "rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown" – slipped through its review process.
Commenting about the neck picture on Instagram, Chris, 28, shared a post which read: "Thanks for all the publicity today.
"Y'all know damn well I ain't going down that road.
"There is no need to even defend myself on the matter.
"Everyone that's around (girl/guy) are my HOMIES. NO FOUL PLAY… NO IGNORANT S***. END of discussion. LOVE."
